Nice stay, nice rooms. A little pricey but at least there was breakfast with sausage gravy! It's an old Ramada. Lots of WiFi access around the grounds.

I woke up at 7:30 this morning, had a strong urge to visit bathroom. And lowe and behold, I felt something crawling across my forehead. I reached up to take what ever it was off of my forehead and it was a flea. And that folks was my experience with Econo Lodge in Newton IA.

The front desk lady was rude when we first checked in. She kept changing the prices on us and we found the ad online for a certain price and she made it about 30-40 dollars more expensive. There was bugs crawling around, the bathroom door was broken, the toilet was broken and did not even consider on fixing it for us, the laundry machines did not work; the dryer did not dry any of our clothes, the breakfast was not appealing, and they did have good service the young girl was really nice and friendly.

The Econo lodge in Grayson was good, we enjoyed our stay. Many conviences near bye. The location was good and quiet. We would stay here again. Pet friendly and outside doors always a plus for us.
