During the 1990's, there was a large increase in accidental needle sticks.

In 1997, an estimate of 800,000 was reported. Thus, Sharps MD was founded by a group of medical waste professionals with over 70 years combined experience. Our objective was to find alternatives to protect people and create a safe environment.

In so doing, we eliminate accidental sticks and reduce the risk of blood borne pathogens while also promoting a green friendly way to decrease landfill volume and high insurance costs.

FRAUD/SCAM ALERT – This company is a fraudulent franchising operation engaged in the process of churning. They are a front for a medical waste company, Sharps MD, who has also been fined almost $40K by the State of Florida Department of Health for their waste management activities. This company’s owners/managers are felons and the company has an incredible legal history documenting their history of shady activity with franchisees and vendors.
